This is punk rock when rock was punk

Last time we met, I was providing a list of songs that referenced rock ‘n’ roll that I liked.

This time, we’ve got a bunch of great punk-rock songs, courtesy of one of those cheezy ’90s television ads that offered a bunch of hits on two records, three cassettes, one CD and whatever media that was available at the time.

These are great songs by the era’s greatest punk groups, like The Cars, The Knack and the Thompson Twins.

Oh, and Huey Lewis and the News.

In an ad starring two genetically modified Loraxes.
